A local strategy for cleaning expanding cellular domains by simple robots

چکیده
We present a strategy SEP for finite state machines tasked with cleaning a cellular environment in which a contamination spreads. Initially, the contaminated area is of height h and width w. It may be bounded by four monotonic chains, and contain rectangular holes. The robot does not know the initial contamination, sensing only the eight cells in its neighborhood. It moves from cell to cell, d times faster than the contamination spreads, and is able to clean its current cell. A speed of d < √ 2(h+ w) is in general not sufficient to contain the contamination. Our strategy SEP succeeds if d ≥ 3(h+w) holds. It ensures that the contaminated cells stay connected. Greedy strategies violating this principle need speed at least d ≥ 4(h + w); all bounds are up to small additive constants.

Voltage Control Strategy for Direct-drive Robots Driven by Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
Torque control strategy is a common strategy to control robotic manipulators. However, it becomes complex duo to manipulator dynamics. In addition, position control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) is a complicated control. Therefore, tracking control of robots driven by PMSMs is a challenging problem. This article presents a novel tracking control of electrically driven robots wh...

This paper presents a novel robust fractional PIλ controller design for flexible joint electrically driven robots. Because of using voltage control strategy, the proposed approach is free of problems arising from torque control strategy in the design and implementation. In fact, the motor's current includes the effects of nonlinearities and coupling in the robot manipulator. Therefore, cancella...

Tracking control of the direct-drive robot manipulators in high-speed is a challenging problem. The Coriolis and centrifugal torques become dominant in the high-speed motion control. The dynamical model of the robotic system including the robot manipulator and actuators is highly nonlinear, heavily coupled, uncertain and computationally extensive in non-companion form. In order to overcome thes...
متن کاملCoverage Path Planning for Mobile Cleaning Robots
In this paper a path planning algorithms for a mobile cleaning robot is developed. An exact cellular decomposition divides an environment in multiple smaller regions called cells. To produce an efficient cleaning path, the order in which these cells are cleaned is important. This paper describes how the optimalization of this path can be formulated as a Traveling Salesman Problem. Furthermore a...
